La Petite Grocery

The name La Petite Grocery pays homage to the history of the building that houses the restaurant. It was once a grocery store dating back to the late 1800s and sold delectable and unique groceries to the growing neighborhood. Most notably known as Von der Haar’s Fine Foods, many generations of New Orleanians grew up making groceries with fond memories until the store closed in 1982. In March of 2004, La Petite Grocery opened its doors with the same aspirations to provide fine foods and a dining experience that evokes the nostalgia of old New Orleans.
